What is the Good Sam Reservation System?

Our reservation system is a cloud-based software solution designed specifically for campground operators. It is capable of being accessed across multiple devices, users, and parks.

What is the process for getting started or set up?

We have a dedicated team to help you set up your new reservation system. We will add your campsites, create a bookable park map, and input any existing reservations you’ve taken to date.

What are the advantages of a cloud-based system?

Accessible from anywhere, 24/7, with the ability for your guests to book and for you to earn money while you aren’t physically working.

What does it cost to sign up for the Good Sam reservation system?

There is no setup or monthly cost for Good Sam Parks to sign up for the system as our reservation system is included as part of being a Good Sam Park. When customers book online they will pay a $1 convenience fee for their reservation, but this is not taken out of the nightly fee you charge for a campsite.

What is the benefit of switching from a manual or form-based reservation system to this one?

Parks who have switched from an offline system have seen upwards of a 25% increase in bookings and saved over 300 hours in a year (that was previously spent returning phone calls and emails).

How much do you charge per user in the software?

We do not charge for additional users. Add as many as you like.

What support is available and when?

We offer support across standard business hours for parks as well as weekend support when needed. We recognize that many campgrounds may need us on busy weekends so we constantly monitor email and chat. We also are in the process of implementing dedicated phone support, which will be live by September of 2021.

Is there a physical credit card terminal that integrates with the software?

Yes, our system integrates through ethernet or Wi-Fi with the Stripe programmable point of sale. See more about Stripe below.

Can guests pick their site with a map or availability view?

Yes, for every park that signs up we create an aerial map-based view where guests can pick their specific site on a map alongside an availability calendar.

How long does it take to get started?

We’ve had parks get up and running in as little as a week, but this varies depending on the size of your park and a number of other factors. In order to give a more realistic answer, we would need to understand more about the individual park.

How does the Good Sam Reservation System compare with other existing platforms?

We are the only booking solution in the market that not only helps you power your backend business operations, but that will connect you with the millions of campers across our business who use Good Sam to power their travel.

If I’m no longer a Good Sam Park, can I still use the booking system?

Yes, we do not offer the same pricing to non-Good Sam Parks but any campground is able to use our reservation system.
